Winning an investment means you have to do a lot of things right. However, most of all, you have to stand out in the right way. And standing out means doing things other startups don’t do.

That’s exactly what today’s article is about. Drawing on my experience raising funding for my own company and helping other CEOs secure funding for theirs, I’ll explain the ten ways you can stand out to investors and raise your funding.

1. Execute your plan.

No matter where you are in the development of your startup, executing your plan will set you apart from just about everyone else. As surprising as it may sound, most startups struggle with even executing the most basic things.

There’s a reason for this: Executing your plan is hard, and investors are not used to startups executing their plans.
