I’ll never forget it. When I was negotiating the final terms of our initial $12 million of funding, “Raul”, the venture capitalist leading the deal for “Donald Ventures”, famously told me that “there was no negotiation”. That’s not exactly what you want to hear.

The point is that it’s tough to negotiate with startup investors. However, it can be done.
